Welcome to my gallery. Working for many years as a commercial illustrator required me to be adaptable and tackle a great variety of subject matter from flora and fauna to children’s books. I studied for 4 years at Harrow School of Art where the emphasis was firmly on good drawing. This is still my first love and is the foundation of my work, allowing me to draw tightly or freely in multiple mediums. I love the rhythms and relationships evident in the natural world and I hope this shows in my work. Since 2001 I have taught painting and drawing at Richmond and Kingston Adult Colleges, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and my own independent courses. I find this extremely rewarding and enjoy sharing some tricks of the trade with my students. I am currently combining teaching with developing my own work, extending my horizons and skills.
